On Tuesday, April 28, Fiver hosted its 20th Anniversary Benefit as a virtual event called All in for Fiver: A Stay at Home Benefit.

In addition to sponsorship opportunities, guests were also offered a free virtual benefit "ticket", which added them to Fiver's list to receive email updates, ideas on how to celebrate the night at home, and to bid on items in our luxury online auction. On the night of the event, attendees all received a link to our website, which took them through the experience of the benefit from the comfort of their home. Each page was a "room" with different content to explore, like cocktail and food recipes (some were sourced from our Fiver families), wine pairing ideas, a guided "visit" to our camp in upstate NY, a virtual photo booth of pictures from social media using our event hashtag #allinforfiver, and much more. In the main ballroom, our feature presentation was a video hosted by NBC's David Ushery, our intended emcee for what was our live event. We shared the Fiver stories of our honorees, the Haspel family (Max Haspel and Ira Haspel), and our founder Tom and his wife Heather Tucker. We also heard from Fiver alum Camilo Duque '11, who is now an officer in the US Navy.

The highlight of the evening was in our "Meet the Fiver Community" room, where Fiver staff, board members, program participants and parents, alumni, and supporters from around the world were able to connect during a moderated but casual Zoom call led by the Fiver leadership team. Many laughs, Fiver stories, and memories were shared, and the two-hour call flew by! The outpouring of support could be felt throughout the night, and thanks to the incredible generosity of the Fiver community, we met our fundraising goal, ensuring that we will be able to continue to serve our mission in these uncertain times.
